Ecosystem Participants and Structure
BP (Block Producer) – Block Creators
Role:
Block Producers are responsible for generating blocks within the network. A total of 17 BPs are elected through monthly voting.
To become a BP, candidates must:
- Receive votes based on their holdings of MIRENA coins and DApp tokens
- Maintain a stable block production system
- Provide a security deposit, which is used to compensate for any damages caused by BP misconduct. The deposit is returned at the end of the BP’s term.
Rewards:
BPs are rewarded proportionally to the number of active DApp wallets within the ecosystem.
They also receive priority access to collaborations with promising DApps, incentivizing them to actively contribute to ecosystem expansion.
BO (Block Observer) – Block Monitors
Role:
Block Observers monitor the actions of BPs to ensure blocks are produced correctly.
Anyone meeting the minimum system requirements can participate as a BO, contributing to the overall stability and transparency of the network.
Rewards:
Like BPs, BOs also share in a portion of the network usage fees, distributed evenly based on the number of DApp wallets.
This incentivizes BO participation and strengthens the security of the consensus process.
CH (Coin Holder) – Token Holders
Role:
Coin Holders are all users holding MIRENA coins or DApp tokens.
CHs have governance rights proportional to their total holdings (MIRENA coins + DApp token equivalents).
They can vote on key proposals, including:
- BP/BO elections
- Additional token issuance
- Revenue distribution policies
Participation in voting also entitles CHs to receive a portion of BP/BO rewards, proportional to their stake, creating a strong incentive to engage in governance.
Benefits:
- Priority access to participate in new DApps within the MIRENA ecosystem
- The ability to exchange their holdings at any time for MIRENA coins or DApp tokens via the internal exchange, ensuring liquidity
- Shared rewards from BP/BO elections
- Token distribution incentives provided by the MIRENA Fund for user registration and activity
